TikiWiki document creation and management...

print
As long as no individual permissions are set, every member of rufae can edit every page. Therefore, if you see an error or want to make changes / additions, feel free to do so! But always be cautious not to interfere with other peoples' work.

Document Creation

To create a new document (webpage) simply create a link on an existing page as following:

((filename|Link Title))

with filename the name of your document (will be accessed via filename.html) and an appropriate Link Title. After submitting your changes there will appear a small ? next to the Link Title. If you click it you will be presented with a blank document to edit.

Edit a Document

To edit a document (webpage) click the pen icon (labeled edit) on top of the page. You will then see an html form showing the current content of the page and allowing you to edit it. The Description field represents the page title. Please do not rename pages (link on bottom) once they have been created, since this will likely break all links refering to that page. You can use standard HTML or Wiki commands (from the toolbar) to format your page.

Document History

Every change of every page is logged and old versions are stored in a history. This history can be accessed using the history link on the bottom of a page. Here you can revert the page to older versions (or just view those).

Adjust Permissions of a Document

To change the permissions of a document (who is able to see / edit the document), click perms (located at the bottom of the page). Here you can add individual permissions to groups. To have the page visible only for registered members (rufae members) select tiki_p_view from the permission selection and Registered from the group selection and click "this page". tiki_p_edit works likewise for editing permission.

Delete a Document

To delete a document (webpage) click remove on the bottom of the page. Be wary though not to create broken links.

for all of the above to work you need to be registered and logged in!
