CMU Robert L. Preger Intelligent Workplace

Volker Hartkopf and his Robert L. Preger Intelligent Workplace project at CMU bring essential architectural input to the RUFAE network (the EDF spaces are based on these ideas). The success of their approach rests on the combination of (1) good traditional interior environmental performance, with (2) extreme flexibility to accommodate ever-changing distributions of people, functions, and equipment, (3) technological adaptability, and (4) effective use of energy and environmental resources throughout the building lifecycle.
